BIB’s BIG THREE OF THE WEEK w/c 26th Dec 2022

It’s almost the end of year, which calls for our last BIB Big Three of the Week..

  1. Waterloo Road returns Tuesday 03 January 2023.

Waterloo Road will return on Tuesday 3 January 2023, with the first episode airing at 8pm on BBC One and the full series available in full as a boxset on BBC iPlayer. On BBC One, the new series will air weekly. 

 

Familiar faces Kim Campbell (Angela Griffin), Donte Charles (Adam Thomas) and Chlo Charles (Katie Griffiths) are back, alongside the new class of Waterloo Road, and fans were recently treated to a glimpse of what to expect from the popular show in first-look images, promising lots of drama and big storylines.

2. BAFTA, BFI NETWORK and British Council publish industry-first Short Film digital toolkit for aspiring talent.

The first of its kind, this comprehensive digital guide includes insights from over 40 filmmakers, funders, festival programmers and distributors, unlocking vital insights and advice for aspiring talent to help them get the most out of their short film journey and accelerate their careers. The Short Film Toolkit is an ever-growing resource and will be updated regularly.

BFI offers a range of entry points across the UK for new and aspiring filmmakers keen to explore filmmaking and where they can develop new skills. BFI Film Academy for 16 to 25 year olds, offers entry-level short practical courses and opportunities to develop specialist filmmaking skills, as well as pathways to paid experience on film productions, alongside regular industry events and webinars.
